  • The Baby's Room

Well, we’ve just about got the Baby’s Room ready for the little one when it comes — now all we need is an actual baby to put into it.

The crib and change table were the first to come, courtesy of the mother-in-law and our gift registry at The Bay, and then we added a rug and a few other amenities, and finished off going with a Winnie-the-Pooh theme with some wall border and stickers that we picked up at Canadian Tire. We weren’t up for anything quite so adventurous as actually painting the room, but the wall border and stickers do quite a nice job. Remaining tasks are to put up a curtain and ceiling fan and then find a glider/rocking chair that will match the walnut colour of the crib itself.

These are definitely exciting times. Terrifying, but exciting nonetheless.

  • The Very Powerful and The Very Stupid

The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views … which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.
